RebelSquadrons.org Staff
Josh has run RebelSquadrons.org since October/November 2006 With Licah's help. Licah has since retired for good, so Josh has taken over full time now. He's still learning how the site is put together, but he's very fast to figure out how to fix it. He is the only staff member still toughing it out, so if you need something, email him at
io@rebelsquadrons.org.
Past Staff Members
Snap has run RebelSquadrons.org since October 2003. He has written most of the projects for the site since then, and has overseen the administration of the entire site. Snap Retired in early 2006, leaving the Site in Licah's hands..
Licah is responsible for the vast majority of the text you see on the site. He has made significant contributions to nearly every single page on the main site, and quite a large portion of all the fleet, wing, and squadron sites. After a long career of maintaining the site, Licah decided it was time to move on, leaving volumes of his hard work and energy behind in text and code.
Shik is the person who originally made our site database-driven and dynamic. While much of his code has been rewritten, his concepts, such as the ITOD database, are still prominent today. His IRC bots are the best the RS has ever seen. Mike ran the site from 2000-02.
Jag worked on the site from 2002-2004, and in that time focused much of his attention on the "back end" aspects of the site - making it as stable, secure, and feature-rich as possible. In his most recent large-format project, he wrote the second generation of the
IRC Quotes Database, supporting a
bash.org - style feature set including realtime voting, ranking, and moderation.
Mystic worked on side projects, such as personal starfighters, and
Leagues of Interpersonal Competition. He also maintained a few fleet, wing, and squadron websites.
Karrade ran the site for a long time, prior to Shik. He also provided the sole funding for the site for five years, for which the Rebel Squadrons will always salute him.
Deltan's primary contribution to our site is his graphics. He made most of the designs for our main and fleet sites. David ran the site in early 2003, during which time he implemented our
support call system.
Blast served as the go-to guy for all things concerning the RS' realtime communications presence (IRC). He was the RS Bar and Grill's appointed manager for several years and later moved on to the IO Staff proper, doing some minor PHP work and handling the occasional less-coding-intense problem that came up.
Python worked alongside Shik and Deltan, helping to bring many RS projects to fruition, and helped to work out some of the security measures now in place.
