The wages of war returned to the Cadrel Expanse.
Ten dags ago the New Republic started a large scale assault on the remaining Imperial planetary system in the Expanse, Elornia. Independent sources report, that more the 70 Republican warships took part on this attack. A Republican Commander mentioned in a official statement, that the Republican Navy lost more then 50 star fighters in theese battles.
Brigadier General Doors, from the former Imperial Stormtrooper garrison mentioned in an interview, that the Empire lost almost half a division of their ground forces.
The Republican forces dominated the conflict, but with incomming reinforcements from Grand Admiral Ronin's Emperor's Hammer the majority of the Imperial defenders were able to wipe out the left flank of the attacking forces and retreat to positions in the Binaural Sector.
Several platoons of the RSCD are now controlling the surface of Elakia, while the fleets of the Rebel Squadrons control the orbit of Elakia, Elari and Eldorian.

And this is just the beginning ...
Admiral Victor Soron of the Imperial Sector Command mentioned in an official statement, that the empire will not rest, till Elornia is liberated again. Admiral Ackbar officially anounce that he is very proud on the heros of Elornia. He said theese men and women made sure, that the people in the Cadrel Expanse can live in peace again.

Here are some voices to our main topic: Two Commanders of the Republican navy.
GNN Reporter: Dear Readers of the GNN.
GNN Reporter: Today we have two officers here, who took both part on the battle of Elornia.
GNN Reporter: High Admiral Commskywalker, Group Commander of Battlegroup Zentar.
GNN Reporter: Welcome High Admiral Commskywalker.
* High Admiral Commskywalker winks.
GNN Reporter: and High Admiral Worf, Commander of Battlegroup Hunter.
GNN Reporter: Welcome High Admiral Worf.
* High Admiral Worf narrows his eyes.
GNN Reporter: My first question to both of you, what were your impressions during the war at Elornia Planetary System
High Admiral Commskywalker: Not enough opposition, I expected more.
High Admiral Worf: the imperials were no match for us.
GNN Reporter: And how did the Raiders of the Confederation fit into this picture?
High Admiral Worf: they were also no match for us.
High Admiral Commskywalker: Who?
GNN Reporter: Lord Admiral Syndic's free lancers.
High Admiral Commskywalker: Ah, they werent even noticable, I had trouble remembering them at all.
GNN Reporter: There were a lot of rumors about the aims of this new fraction in this galaxy, you both seen their actions and stategies, do you know, what they are up to do, and why they joined this conflict?
High Admiral Commskywalker: Why? They dont have a large fleet, but as I've seen their ego's match that of the entire New Republic.
High Admiral Commskywalker: Fortunately, ego's dont win battles.
GNN Reporter: Clear words, admiral. ;)
High Admiral Worf: i believe we need to see them do more before we can properly identify their goals.
GNN Reporter: Let us come to the Denfenders of Elornia.
GNN Reporter: There seem to be 4 different fractions of Imperial remnants on Elornia, which seem to fight each other. Who do you think were the most dangerous of this fractions?
High Admiral Worf: they are typical imperial warlords trying to gain control of a dying empire.
High Admiral Commskywalker: Undoubtedly the Emperor's Hammer, which delt a blow to all fleets in the air.
GNN Reporter: Grand Admiral Ronin's elite units appeared in end of the conflict of Elornia. This tactic seems to be kinda confusing. Was it a surprize for the Republican navy too, and do you understand the Grand Admiral's aims?
High Admiral Commskywalker: I know better than to try and guess what an Imperial warlord is thinking
High Admiral Worf: i believe they were attempting to show up after the forces already in battle were damaged so they could have an easy victory
High Admiral Worf: fortunatly it didnt go like that
GNN Reporter: Republican Fleets from the entire galaxy was expected to be transferred to Cadrel. Now it seems their numbers are quite smaller then expected. Another question is, how is the cooperation between the different Battlegroups, the different fleets and the different command staffs?
High Admiral Worf: so far our battle groups have been working well together
High Admiral Commskywalker: It's a total frenzy, only in the final stretch of last week's battle did the squadrons truly team up to work together against other squadrons.
GNN Reporter: Admiral Ackbar seemed to be very pleased about the fast and complete victory in Elornia.
GNN Reporter: How would you discribe the victory in Elornia?
High Admiral Worf: Easy!
GNN Reporter: Any final words from you both, to our readers?
High Admiral Commskywalker: Yeah, don't fly in a straight line.
High Admiral Worf: Its time we take the war to the Empire, starting right now we fight back and fight back hard. We're riding in, anyone who wants to defect and join us can, anyone who tries to stop us will die. every time one of us dies, three of them dies. we will keep on going, never slowing or stopping until we destroy them all.
GNN Reporter: Special thanks to you High Admiral Worf and to you High Admiral Commskywalker, and may the force be with you.
High Admiral Commskywalker: Thanks.
High Admiral Worf: Indeed.

Rear Admiral Scarlet Laconious was one of the officers who was defending at Elornia when the Republic atacked.
GNN Reporter: Dear readers of the GNN newspaper. Today I'm interviewing Rear Admiral Scarlet Laconious, commander of the Star Vipers Battlegroup.
GNN Reporter: Welcome Rear Admiral Laconious.
Rear Admiral Laconious: Thank you.
GNN Reporter: Rear Admiral Laconious, you're troops were one of the frontline units in this conflict. How were your impressions of the battles of the last weeks.
Rear Admiral Laconious: I was very impressed with the efforts our Jedis put into this war. It has been astonishing to see our guardians of the Force - the Lost Order very involved in this war. However, I am a bit disappointed in what our fleet showed. Yet, I am sure the navy will make a comeback. I'm really proud of the Star Vipers.
GNN Reporter: With a view on the numbers, Sector Admiral Phoenix Berkana's forces seemed to had the best sucess of all Imperial fractions in this conflict. How would you explain the good results, and how do you see the cooperation with the other Imperial fractions?
Rear Admiral Laconious: I think since we're one of the closest fraction to the battlefield, we're able to deploy quickly - especially our ground forces. Considering the Emperors Hammer is a larger and stronger force, I think they'll soon be the dominating force in space and a formidable foe for the Rebel Squadrons. Besides, I wish all the Imperial fractions best of luck.
GNN Reporter: The United Confederation of Free Planets just appeared in this conflict, and there are shadows covering their aims. You have been on the front, what are your impressions on this unknown opponent, and are the really opponents of the empire?
Rear Admiral Laconious: I don't believe they're much of a threat. They are only a small faction. Considering the victories of the New Republic factions, I believe they're more of a threat than the United Confederation of Free Planets.
GNN Reporter: The Republican fleets under the command of Admiral Rahj Tharen had a great number us early successes. Were the Imperial defenders surprized by the fast attack the Republic did against the Elornia system?
Rear Admiral Laconious: I was surprised that the Emperor's Hammer didn't respond immediately to the attacks and left it to the defense of the scrambling Star Vipers and the Imperial Order, well, considering that the system's their's.
GNN Reporter: The Republic fleets seem to be under different commands, and seem to be competing theirselves.
GNN Reporter: You have seens them in action, are this rumors true, and if yes, do you have an idea, why?
Rear Admiral Laconious: I have no information of this, sorry. What I hope right now is that we Imperials will straighten ourselves together and prepare a well coordinated counterattack on the New Republic territories.
GNN Reporter: Any final words for our readers?
Rear Admiral Laconious: Well, since I will not be able to attend the next battle since I will be back in the Fleet Headquarters in Arcadia celebrating my birthday with my closest friends, I wish everybody in the service of the Empire good luck on their upcoming battle. I hope they can achieve victory this time and stop the relentless New Republic attack.
GNN Reporter: Special thanks to you, Rear Admiral, and may the force be with you.
Rear Admiral Laconious: Thank you, with you too.

Major General Tavillion is one of the most famous Imperial pilot aces from the Imperial Order. He personally flown in the 1st war in the Cadrel Expanse. Now he's back.
GNN Reporter: Major General Tavillion, what were you impressions in this conflict at Elornia?
Major General Tavillion: Well, the battle could have gone much more smoothly. I believe the Imperial forces lacked severely in their morale, which led to some poor results in the air, and especially on the ground. To be honest, I also expected more competition from the rebels. Most of their victories came from superior forces. They simply swarmed the battlefield with untrained pilots and grunts. Well, save for a few legends that still need a good killing.
GNN Reporter: Major General Tavillion, there are 4 main Imperial fractions in this conflict. How is the cooperation between the different Imperial fleets?
Major General Tavillion: Aside from some friendly (or not so) rivalries between a couple of commanders, I'd say cooperation is going decently. However, I don't have enough experience with the other fleets to really answer this question accurately.
GNN Reporter: Major General Tavillion, there are rumors, you know Lord Admiral Syndic personally. Are theese rumors right, and do you know what his fraction is planing?
Major General Tavillion: Yes, I do know Lord Admiral Syndic. He and I go way back... so far back that I actually gave him his original training. He was once my subordinate in the Imperial Order. I've also received numerous recruitment attempts from him. As to what is faction is planning... God only knows! Whatever it is, I'll be there to stop him.
GNN Reporter:The Republican fleets seem to had some victories at the beginning, but the progress have been decreased in the second week.
GNN Reporter: Can you explain the great sucess of the Republic in the 1st week, and why it reduced so drastically in the second one?
Major General Tavillion: Well, yes, the Republic fleets have definitely caught us by surprise, but it's nothing we can't handle. We were simply caught off guard at the beginning before our full forces had arrived. Now that we're no longer massively outnumbered, as we were in the first week of the conflict, we have no need to fear the Republic forces. We will be victorious.
GNN Reporter: It seems a great numbers of Imperial warships appeared in Binaural Sector. I'm sure you are not allowed to us if and when the would try to liberate Cadrel from Republican forces, but in case they do, are you part of the attack then?
Major General Tavillion: No comment.
GNN Reporter: :) Any last words from you to our readers?
Major General Tavillion: Yes. Stay out of my way, and you may survive the might of the Empire. Stand in my way, and prepare for a pain rivaling anything you've ever imagined. We will not fall.
GNN Reporter: Thank you very much, Major General, and may the force be with you.
* Major General Tavillion: evil cackle as the Republican Grand Admiral turns his back to him.
