The Oberon System The Oberon system is well balanced and provides some interesting contrasts. One of the few inhabited planets in the entire Cadrel Expanse is located here. The planetoids in the system revolve around a giant yellow mature star.
Planets:
Hippolyta: Located on the fringes of the system, Hippolyta is a frozen world of snow and ice. It has a very dense atmosphere, freezing temperatures, and is beset by constant snowstorms. Like many planets in the Cadrel Expanse, Hippolyta is unexplored and may yield significant raw resources if tapped.
Egeus: Detectable from space for thousands of kilometers away, the world of Egeus is rich with metal ore. It has a weak atmosphere and little gravity, so any mining operation would have to be very specifically and meticulously planned. The group that succeeds in occupying Oberon may very well want to quickly initialize a mining operation to leech Egeus' wealth.
Theseus: The most aesthetically pleasing world in the system as far as human tastes, Theseus is a beautiful and stable planet. Located at just the right distance from the huge Oberon star, the planet supports a temperate, warm climate with a thriving ecosystem. Green oceans blend seamlessly with the landscape when viewed from space. The atmosphere is pleasant and acceptable for most humanoids. Theseus was recently colonized by settlers from an unaffiliated system farther out on the rim. It is assumed that some coercion will have to be used to gain permission for any group to settle there.
Pyramus: Situated only a few thousand kilometers from the fringes of the Oberon star, Pyramus is a violent and incredibly hot world. The crust of the planet rolls uneasily above the fiery hot magma. Earthquakes are a common occurrence. The planet is incapable of sustaining life, and an incredibly high temperature is maintained year-round.
