The Elornia System Elornia, like most of the Cadrel Expanse is an uninhabited system blessed with tremendous mineral wealth. At the core of the system is a binary star set, orbitting at extreme speed and short range. As a result the orbital patterns of the solar system can be described as chaotic, shifting from a circular to elipitical and back again every few years. Planets: Elari: Elari is the inner-most planet in the star system orbitting at a distance of 0.3 AU's. It is small, rocky and completely without an atmosphere. It does though due to its proximity to the suns have an extremely pure vains of magnetic minerals. Elakia: Elakia orbits at a distance of 1.1 AU's from the suns, it has an oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere capable of supporting life, although none has ever developed here. The planet like all in Cadrel is mineral rich and perfect for exploitation or habitation. Of more interest though to the warring fleets is the ample natural outcroppings of edible vegetation, any fleet could easily replenish itself indeffinitly. Eldorian: The gas giant Eldorian orbits at 6 AU's from the binary pair. Large and swatched in thick belts of cloud the planet exhibits tremendous elctro-magnetic signals capable of masking the presence of entire war fleets. This benefit does not come without a price though, these ships are as equaly blind of the outside world as it is of them. Some scholars have indicated that a satellite uplink to a low power scanner outside of the radiation field would permit the hidden fleet to know what was going on outside its view, rendering it of great strategic value.
