The Anshife System

One sole dormant star lies at the center of the Anshife system, providing precious little immediate light or heat. Scientists are baffled by the star, which does not seem to ever have been active. Consequently, no life exists or, as is believed, has ever existed on any of the planets within the Anshife system. The planetoids are still spectacularly outfitted for modern use. Using advanced mining techniques backed up by solid life support, it would be possible for most space-faring civilizations to mine the massive deposits of raw metal and material that exist on every single planet in the system.

Planets:

Etrucia: A quiet world on the rim of the Anshife system, Etrucia is a spherical rock consisting of deep valleys and jagged mountains. The rock has a curious blue-green hue, which gives the world the appearance of being covered in water from a far distance. There is literally no atmosphere on the planet, and no humanoid has ever set foot on the planet. An Old Republic reconnaissance drone from the nearby Genji system crashed here some hundreds of years ago, and was never recovered. Old reports state that the systems of the drone were scrambled by an intense magnetic field, possibly emanating from the planet.

Anomaly 5189078: Catalogued by an Old Republic expeditionary team that whizzed through the system, Anomaly 5189078 is a gigantic hunk of ice. Most curious, the ice hunk seems to have some gigantic engines attached to it. On the other end is a small building which appears to be a bridge of some sort. Who created this flying ice cube and what purpose it was meant to serve is still unclear, but the vessel has not moved in years and has settled into a stable orbit. Although not technically a planet, it is a major point of interest.

Praetoria: A turbulent world with a violent atmosphere, Praetoria is a gas giant. Yellowish gases swirl about the planets atmosphere, driven by powerful winds. The atmosphere is comprised mainly of monoxide. Although nobody has ever been down to the surface of the world, it is imagined that mineral wealth on the planet may be significant.

Rastine: Rastine is a calm and regal terrestrial planet. Although it is freezing, like all other planets in the system, it projects a certain majesty. A light atmosphere gives way to clouds, although it never rains. It is the best charted of any planet in the Anshife system, and it is widely known that the planet has extremely rich and untouched sources of such crude materials as bronze. The jewel in the crone of the system as far as the mining industry is concerned, Rastine promises to be the source of major industrialization by the force that occupies the territory.

Obeia: The smallest planet in the Anshife system is also the planetoid closest to the dormant star. Only one eighth the size of the star it orbits, the world of Obeia is plain and gray. No fissures or mountains mark its surface, and there is no atmosphere. In fact, the planet seems to be a near-perfect sphere. Geologists hypothesize that beneath the crust of the world lies significant deposits of iron ore, simply waiting to be drilled out.
