(1) Farewell to Daryus Zalyn\'Cia
(2) Farewell to Chris \"Kicks\" Horn
(3) RgF 3.11 [NEW MISSION IS OUT!!]
(4) RgF 3.10 [Results]
(5) Dragon ITOD [What is to come?]

(1) FAREWELL TO BRIGADIER GENERAL DARYUS ZALYN\'CIA, former Dragon CO, from David \"Tenacious \'D\'\":

Daryus was a highly appreciated commander of Dragon squadron. When he first joined the RgF he joined Dragon squadron as a regular pilot. Within a little time, he transfered over to Wyvern(now a former squad) for a short time until Dragon squadron became next to disbanded. He transferred back to the squadron so as to bring his former squadron back up to speed. And this he did. He first started looking for an XO to help him with the squad, and I just happened to be a few months fresh out of the Academy and looking for some command training, and so found Daryus myself. Together, with Daryus\' great leadership skills brougth Dragon squadron up to be one of the fleet\'s most active squadrons, as well as being one of the top squadrons in RgF missions. But not only was Daryus a strong leader for bringing squadron activity up, but he was sometimes took on the role of psychiatrist for some pilots(including myself at one time, thanks again Daryus ;)).

During his career as Dragon CO, he was well liked/loved/whatever you prefer to say and looked up to. He will be greatly missed by all Dragon pilots who had the honor of flying under his command. Daryus does leave open the possibility, though, of coming back to active duty in Dragon squadron. We wish you good luck and May the Force be With You in Vanguard and RL, and will always be watching for your return.

(2) FAREWELL TO COLONEL CHRIS \"KICKS\" HORN, DRAGON PILOT AND FRIEND, from Adam \"Stump\" Fene:

Kicks was probably one of the most highest spirited pilots I\'ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in the RS. Few can probably match how much he loved to just plainly fly, and KICK Imperial ASS. Not just that though, but I know he loved to inspire other people to fly be it in MP or SP combat, his spirit was truly in the game. I\'ve only met a handful of people that carried his type of excitement for competition, as well as the leisure of being among his squadmates. I was sad to find out about the resignation just as I was coming back into the RS once more.

A good friend, a damned good pilot, and truthful leader. We\'ll miss you Kicks. I salute you. \":)

Excellent job people, thank you for reporting! Maybe we can crush Resurrection Squadron next time and take first place! We\'re not so far behind them. If we turned those zeros into slightly larger scores, we would\'ve taken them easily. :)

(5) DRAGON INTERACTIVE TOUR OF DUTY [ WHAT IS TO COME?!? ]

Ok people, here is the run-down. The Dragon ITOD will probably be about six missions long. Why not the \'regular\' 12? Simple answer.. 12 missions is too fucking long, pardon my language. I plan to make the ITOD with just a few missions, to make it as engaging and exciting as possible.

Also, most people do not make it through a full 12 missions (a year long) to see the end. Most people somehow end up retiring before they get to the end. So to side-step that kind of tragedy, that is why I\'m cutting the time in half. So if you can stay around for six months, you will get the full story.

- The Story -
The story of course involves Dragon Squadron. It\'s mainly from my own point of view, commanding the Squadron. This leaves the story open to write your own narratives if you so choose. I highly recomend this, it makes things a bit more fun.

The overall storyline focuses on the Squadron pulling together to ensure our own survival. Not just by enemies of the Empire, but within our own ranks. Would you be sad if \"Dragon Squadron\" disappeared? How would that affect you, your Star Wars character? What would you be willing to do to save it, to be loyal to your squadmates? If you plan on writing narratives, think about those questions.

I\'m in the process of writing out the Storyline, as well as a mission outline so that our own LCL David \"Tenacious \'D\'\" can start building them. A scoreboard of course, will be traditionally kept just to keep bragging rights around. :)

--- --- --- ---

That\'s about it. I\'ve let you know what is going on, now it\'s your move. Report on RgF 3.11, remember to talk to us. You CAN reply to this mailing list, it is for EVERYONE. Not just us commanders. Don\'t be shy. :)
