Greetings, Members of the Rebel Squadrons. ":)
Welcome to the State of the Rebel Squadrons Address. There is not much to report this time around, so I'm going to begin with some news from the office of the Fleet Commander.
On Feb the 15th, the Fleet Commander commemorated six full months in office with a full report that was submitted to the High Command. The FC would like to thank everybody who has made his job easier in these past six months, including, but not limited too, GEN Rahj Tharen, LGN Shikkie Kaaran, VA Trace, and VA Dev. The FC subsequently took a week long leave of absence, during which the Executive Officer filled in nicely. The FC now wishes to thank the Rebel Squadrons as a whole for a great six months!
In High Command news, the fate of the RS' irc presence has yet to be decided. Currently the RS is undergoing a trial of the innernet, while keeping its presence on the undernet. Once the undernet gets its new services online, a complete review will be made of each server, and the High Command will make a final decision on the matter. HC is also currently involved in a discussion on the CoC and its place in the bylaws. Expect results from that discussion later this week.
In the ever continuing quest to get the Uniforms completed, VA Dev and COL Jorval have worked up a prototype together. The uniform project is on the verge of being completed, at which point it will open and begin taking requests. Expect a separate announcement on that subject to come out in early March.
Finally, a reminder that the Outer Rim War continues on Saturdays from 2 pm - 11 pm EST. A couple weeks ago the ORW reached over two hundred matches, an incredible feat. The RS is currently on a winning streak and has captured the Vectain system. Congratulations to all involved, and all not involved, come by and play!
That's all for now. The RS is on a growing streak, make no mistake about that. Every day our club gets better and better, and its thanks to you, the members. The RS will only be as good as you make it, and you have all made it great so far. Keep it up and the other Star Wars clubs will marvel to see how we grow.
