Reconnaissance Report on Imperial activity at Elornia System

Sir,

As instructed shortly after returning from my defence of the Redemption I joined the recon team inspecting the Elornia System. You may remember that this had been the location of a small Imperial forward base before, and the HC, in the face the current crisis determined that the system should again be checked for an imperial presence.

Unfortunately, I am sorry to report that the Elornia system does appear to have a growing imperial supply base. On leaving the Redemption with one of our newest pilots, LJG Destex, we both arrived in sytem to find an Imperial Base designated Platform Five which was guarded two flights of TIE’s.

Also located in the area where a number of supplies, which our scans revealed to contain both Food, Equipment and Weapon supplies.

On getting within five clicks of the base, we were attacked aggressively by the fighter screen, the destruction of which I assessed would be our first primary objective so we could complete our inspection assignment without further harassment. I’m please to inform you that LJG Destex (Dagger Seven) conducted herself with skill and daring, claiming two kills before returning to our command ship. The Imperial base was heavily armed, and remained intact, as did all of the supplies, although the fighter screen has currently been eradicated.

After scanning the remaining containers, I considered it politic to return with the data we had gathered as quickly as possible. In retrospect, the weapon supplies should have been destroyed at this time, although I was conscious that with our Aurora Base currently under siege, I wanted to return as soon as possible to provide continuing starfighter support.

I would conclude that Elornia System is currently being used as a supply base for the current Imperial push into both our systems, and perhaps their designs on the Cadrel Expanse. My recommendation would be for a stronger RS force be sent as soon as possible to destroy/reclaim the supplies as required, and to destroy or capture the Imperial Base, before this system can be resupplied.
